Your organisation’s Marella

How you sign in depends on how your organisation set Marella up. Use the URL and sign-in method supplied through your organisation’s approved channel, and ask your administrator if you do not have them.

Your first evaluation, in order

1. Scope the first document set narrowly. One department’s policies, or one matter’s documents, makes quality easy to judge in a way a whole archive never does.
2. Ingest material that represents the real thing. Use supported upload or an agreed connector, and include the difficult scans and formats, so failures show up now rather than later.
3. Ask real questions, including ones with known answers, ones the document set cannot answer and ones where two sources conflict. Check which claims carry citations and whether each cited passage supports the claim it is attached to.
4. Set departments and roles so access follows your existing permissions before the document set grows past the point where that is easy to fix.
5. Review the knowledge network. Entities and concepts extracted from your documents appear under Knowledge, so browse them, merge the duplicates and start shaping the ontology.

What good looks like

Before you go further, a representative user should be able to ask an agreed question, inspect the supporting evidence and record whether the answer meets your evaluation criteria. Ask, inspect, score. That is what the decision rests on, not the fact that the system produced an answer.
